Gisele Bündchen’s mother Vânia Nonnenmacher has reportedly died at the age of 75, following a battle with cancer.
Brazilian outlet GZH first reported the shock news, and it has since been reported by multiple international outlets.
Nonnenmacher reportedly died on Sunday in hospital in Brazil.

The supermodel, 43, is yet to comment on the news. A wake will reportedly be held in Porto Alegre on Monday.

Bündchen’s mother and father, university professor Valdir Bündchen, shared six children together, Gisele, Patrícia, Rafaela, Raquel, Graziela and Gabriela.

In July last year, Bündchen shared a sweet tribute Instagram post to her mother to mark her birthday.
“Happy birthday Mom! I am forever grateful for all that you have done and continue to do for us,” her post read.
She added: “Thank you for always loving, inspiring and teaching us. Thank you for giving me life! Love you so much!”

Underneath the post, the former Victoria’s Secret model has received condolences from fans and followers for the loss.
Earlier this month, Bündchen told Harper’s Bazaar she’s trying to teach her kids life lessons and raise them similarly to how she grew up – and credited her mother for how she was raised.
“Sometimes, I get pushback, especially because now they’re in two different homes and there are two different ways. But I feel like I owe it to my kids, because of what my mom taught me,” Bündchen said.
She added: “The way you make your room, the way you organise and make your bed is the way you’re going to do your life.”
“If you’re not learning here and now, then when and with who?”
In 2018, Bündchen posed with her mother on the cover of Vogue Brazil.
The news comes after Bündchen’s divorce from American NFL star Tom Brady.
She told CBS News Sunday Morning that her divorce was “not what I dreamed of and what I hoped for”.
“My parents have been married for 50 years, and I really wanted that to happen.”
“But I think you have to accept, you know, sometimes that the way you are in your 20s, it’s sometimes you grow together, sometimes you grow apart.”
She says she will always “be grateful” to Brady for giving her their two “wonderful children.
“He’s the father of my kids, so I always wish him the best,” she said.
