Now aged 43, Brewster has starred in almosy every spin-off and sequel in the Fast & Furious franchise since she burst onto the scene in 2001.
Following the release of the first movie, Brewster took a brief break from acting to complete her B.A. in English at Yale University.
She graduated in 2003 and returned to Hollywood in the 2004 movie D.E.B.S.
But, outside of the franchise, Brewster hasn’t exactly been able to win any major roles.
Unlike some of her famous co-stars, Brewster has kept mostly out of the spotlight outside of promotion for new Fast movies now and then and didn’t join sequels after Paul Walker’s death.
But in 2017, Brewster said this wasn’t exactly her idea.
“I didn’t say goodbye,” she explained to Fox News. “It wasn’t a choice.”
“It doesn’t mean that the door is closed forever,” she said. “You never know what could happen in terms of me coming back…”
In 2021, however, Brewster was asked to reprise her role as Mia in F9.
“I was thrilled… I was able to be there for the entire shoot,” Brewster told the publication. “For 6 and 7… I was on a television show so I missed out on a lot of the action.”
