Nicole Richie’s kids have shared their thoughts on her early career and haven’t given it a positive review.
In an interview with Variety, the poster child of early 2000s socialites, revealed that her son Sparrow, 14 and daughter Harlow, 16, have flamed her after watching the 2003 series The Simple Life.
The reality television show featured Richie, 42, and Paris Hilton, 43, having their phones and credit cards taken from them, trading their luxurious life in for hard work.

“The Simple Life is apparently having a big moment on TikTok, so they do tell me that they watch clips on TikTok,” Richie said.
“Their friends watch it. I get a lot of eye rolls in my house all the time. It’s right on brand with how they see me, in general.”

Richie shares her two kids with husband and musician Joel Madden; the pair tied the knot in 2010.
The actress revealed that she doesn’t think her kids will follow in her footsteps and work in the entertainment industry.
“I’m not sure. I highly doubt that my son does,” she said.
“My daughter might but she’s not banging down my door asking about it. She’s really living that 16-year-old life.”
Richie’s lookalike teens recently made their red carpet debut, joining their parents for a night out in Los Angeles at The Grove to celebrate their mum’s new film.

The fashion designer, who named her company House of Harlow after her daughter, opened up about how her mini-me also “loves fashion, but she has her own style.”
“It doesn’t have anything to do with me. She takes my clothes all the time,” she told Entertainment Tonight.
“She’s wearing my current clothes now, she’s just like, ‘What do you have? That’s what I want. I’m taking it,'” she added.
The fashion designer, who named her company House of Harlow after her daughter, opened up about how her mini-me also “loves fashion, but she has her own style.”
