Lisa Marie Presley death: Riley Keough faces fresh legal battle over Lisa Marie Presley’s UK home

Riley Keough is facing a fresh legal battle on behalf of her late mother Lisa Marie Presley.

The eldest grandchild of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley recently pushed back on a request to pay the debt of her late mother – one year on from her death aged 54 – regarding her home in the United Kingdom.

US Weekly reports that Barclays Bank is requesting Keough pay the outstanding balance of $US1.6 million (approx. $2.4 million), per legal documentation.

Lisa Marie Presley purchased her Rotherfield, England home – the Coes Hall estate – in 2010 on a loan from Barclays.

The bank has made claims that the late singer personally guaranteed repayment before her unexpected death in January 2023.

As Keough is the sole trustee of her mother’s estate, the bank has claimed that she is responsible for paying off the remaining loan.

Despite this, Keough has maintained in her court filing that due to the statute of limitations, she isn’t responsible, stating the bank is required to have made a claim on the first anniversary of her mother’s death, which was January 12.

It is further alleged by Keough that Presley had only personally guaranteed loan interest payments between 2010 and 2015.

The estate was sold in 2021, going on the market in 2016 following Presley’s split from her then-husband Michael Lockwood.
