Is Lala Kent picking up on some bad vibes with Ariana Madix’s boyfriend?!
Perezcious readers will recall that a month after her breakup with Tom Sandoval due to his affair with Rachel Leviss, Ariana wasted no time getting back into the dating world. She quickly became romantically involved with personal trainer Daniel Wai in April. Fair enough considering Sandy had moved on like EIGHT MONTHS earlier!

Despite Ariana seemingly finding happiness with her beau, Lala appears to have some concerns! In a sneak peek at the upcoming season of Vanderpump Rules, the 33-year-old reality talked about the relationship with her mom Lisa Burningham – and shared some skepticism about Daniel’s intentions with her friend:
“Ariana gets a new man, and I’m like, ‘What’s his motive? This is weird.’”
Uh oh!
Her momma pointed out the Give Them Lala podcast host’s “blinders [are] off” ever since her messy breakup with ex-fiancé Randall Emmett. Back in November 2021, she ended her engagement to the 52-year-old film producer after she caught him cheating. Following the scandal, Lala has been open about having some trust issues. So did Lala actually see some red flags in the fitness instructor? Or could she possibly be projecting her own insecurities onto Ariana’s relationship?
Even Lala broke down in tears and admitted she questions “everybody” and their motives these days after what she experienced with Randall. Oof. Lisa then comforted her daughter, saying:
“It’s OK, you’re gonna work through it. All in steps. I love you.”
Obviously, Lala could be projecting, and nothing more here. But considering she had suspicions about Sandoval and Rachel before their affair was exposed? Perhaps Ariana should take note of what she had to say about Daniel — just in case! See the teaser clip (below):
