Don’t say she didn’t warn you. Bre Tiesi entered season six of “Selling Sunset” with a Birkin on one arm and a rolodex of high-profile real estate clients held in the other. Her open relationship with Nick Cannon, with whom she shares 1-year-old son Legendary, made her a hot topic before ever stepping foot in the office. Although she came to the Oppenheim Group to work — casually showing multimillion dollar properties to celebrity clients like Saweetie — the reality-show newcomer spent most of the season defending her family dynamics . . . and from what she tells us, it only gets worse in season seven.
“Obviously I know I’m on a reality show, I know that I’m signing up to be subject to whatever f*ckery occurs, but there’s a fine line, and you would think that people have some sort of class or moral compass whatsoever to just leave family out of it,” Tiesi tells POPSUGAR. She alludes to the tension between herself and Chelsea Lazkani — a fellow agent who denounced Tiesi’s nonmonogamous relationship on multiple occasions, primarily due to her own upbringing.

While Tiesi expected some criticism, it was still disappointing to watch how harshly she and her family were judged behind the scenes. “You would think that we were in a world of people being more accepting, but we’re not,” she says. “At the end of the day, this is my child. He will eventually see that and see that narrative, and I think it’s just really distasteful.”
As someone born and raised in Los Angeles, part of Tiesi is used to the drama. She grew up in an industry she just can’t seem to leave behind, tapping the connections she made during her modeling days to build her own real estate empire. She originally turned down a spot in the second season, leaving the theatrics to iconic cast members like Christine Quinn, but she more than made up for it in season six with her dry humor and take-it-or-leave-it honesty. “I’ve always been like this, and I feel like people almost prefer the opposite,” she says. “They want to be lied to. They want to have the fakeness in their face and all of that stuff, and it’s just not something that I get down with.”
Her life may look picture perfect through the glossy lens of “Selling Sunset,” but scroll through social media, and you’ll find Tiesi getting candid about past cosmetic surgeries, new-mom life (she filmed the entirety of her season just six weeks after giving birth), and her relationship with Cannon. “I think that there’s a lot with social media where a lot of people think that they’re expected to live this crazy lifestyle and have all this money and be perfect and all this sh*t,” she says, explaining that she doesn’t want anyone comparing themselves to a false reality. “So when someone says, ‘Oh my God, you’re so pretty. Is that your hair?’ I’m like, ‘No, girl. That’s not my f*cking hair. I paid for all this sh*t.'”
Tiesi intends on keeping it just as real next season, warning viewers to ready themselves for an even wilder ride. “It’s just all bad,” she laughs. “I think what happens . . . no one’s really ready for exactly,” she continues. “It’s kind of something where you think you know where it’s going, and then it just goes all the way to hell.” Thankfully, Tiesi is used to the heat. “I’m like, ‘See you guys there.'”
